Dassel Medical Center


SourceGroup was selected as the developer for this clinic for Hutchinson Area Health Care (HAHC).

HAHC has operated a clinic in Dassel for many years and had been planning over the past several years to replace the existing facility to increase visibility & efficiency. Within the first 30 days of occupying their new facility, patient visits exceeded their projections by more than 50% and there were 72 first time patient visits!

This clinic houses 9 exam rooms, radiology, and a procedure room. The design includes the ability for future expansion to coincide with the expected success of this rural healthcare facility. HAHC color & design elements (Familiar Faces Opening New Doors) were incorporated into Dassel Medical for brand identity & continuity.

Denfeld Medical Center

This family practice clinic has 3 medical lanes containing 20 exam rooms, plus an occupational therapy area and a community room.

Design incorporated need for extended-hour Urgent Care and mobile MRI access as well as easy pick up and drop off under the canopy at the main entrance.

Placed strategically in an aging area of the community, the clinic has become the core of medical activities for local residents.

Evergreen Terrace Nursing Home (Memory Care Wing) - Grand Rapids, MN

Due to increased competition in the area, Mission Healthcare selected SourceGroup to manage the renovation of their Memory Care Wing. Some highlights of the work include demolition of the existing double occupancy rooms to convert them to private & double suites as well as renovations to the main lobby, dining room, and multiple nurse’s stations.

The renovation also includes updating the building’s exterior and a new 2,500 sq ft scenic garden patio with activity nodes for family & guests.

Gateway Family Healthcare Clinic – Moose Lake

This family practice clinic has two medical lanes with 25 exam rooms, 3 procedure rooms as well as larger suites for X-Ray, Mammography, Dexascan, Echo and Ultra capabilities. A large Pharmacy & Ophthalmology exam rooms were added to bring additional revenue generating streams and provide increased value to the community.

SourceGroup conducted land searches on the client’s behalf and ultimately negotiated and purchased land for the clinic on Mercy Hospital’s campus to offer the community and clinic staff ease and convenience.

London Road Dental - Duluth, MN

SourceGroup is working with the owner & architect to value-engineer this facility near the scenic shores of Lake Superior to help bring the construction costs in line with the owner’s budget and ensure the building will remain marketable for other use in the event the owner wants to sell the property at a later date.

The building’s design will integrate a main level dentist office with 4 hygiene chairs, 1 private operatory room, and 2 private procedure rooms. Multiple offices for clinic staff as well as staff lounge & lab are incorporated on the lower level. Underground/heated parking (with elevator) is designed for convenience for staff and guests. The upper level is made up of office/mixed-use leaseable space.

Challenging issues SourceGroup helped the owner navigate included excavating/rock removal and assisting the owner obtain city zoning variances to make this building functional.

Pleasant Seasons Assisted Living

Due to increased competition, Mission Healthcare selected SourceGroup to manage the renovation & expansion of their facility.

Renovating the interior with high quality finishes, two-sided fireplace with stone surround, casework & millwork create the “wow” factor needed to be successful in this market. New administration & meeting/conference space was part of the renovation make the space more enjoyable for staff and residents alike.

The addition of a sunroom with rich, warm colors, pine ceilings, & wainscoting provide an inviting, quaint gathering area for family & guests. The addition includes a covered drive-under canopy & handicap accessible entrances, greatly increasing the functionality of the new main entrance. A new patio & landscaping off the sunroom offer residents the ability to enjoy the outdoors.

Raiter Clinic

The Raiter Clinic had a great location but a facility that was too small & dated to meet the public’s needs. Clinic staff worked with the architect & SourceGroup to design an 8,000 sq. ft. expansion & extensive remodel of the existing clinic that would meet the clinic’s business objectives & make the project financially feasible.

Great care & planning was done at the on-set of the design process that allowed the clinic to operate without interruption or incident while the new construction & renovation of the existing facility took place.

St. Lucas Care Center (Deaconess Tower Remodel) - Faribault, MN

Increasing competition motivated the owner to upgrade this 80 year old facility. SourceGroup was selected to manage the extensive renovation of this 32,000 sq ft 4-story building. The modernization includes converting the current double occupancy rooms to single occupancy suites as well as upgrading many common areas throughout the building including administrative offices, main reception area/desk, activity and dining rooms. SG and the owner worked with an interior designer that specializes in assisted living and nursing care facilities to make sure the facility’s finishes could compete with market demands.

SourceGroup developed and implemented a plan that minimized disruption to the residents and staff during the construction and adhered to the strict safety/ICRA standards mandated by the Department of Health.

The facility also has an attached 2-story, 95-stall parking ramp and a detached multi-story 232-stall parking ramp.

This claims processing center in Chico, CA contains supervisory offices, training centers, individual work stations and loading areas.

The design also includes state-of-the-art high speed communication systems, redundant power, employee sensitive HVAC/electrical amenities, and full service cafeteria/dining services.

White Community Hospital

This hospital expansion & renovation followed a two-phase process. The expansion included a new ER department, ambulatory entrance, 10+ patient rooms, decontamination room as well as much needed administrative and clinical space. These additions delivered a positive and significant impact to the business from a cost reimbursable/Critical Access Hospital designation.

The renovation included converting over 7,000 sq. ft. of existing hospital rooms and related support areas to a new nursing home wing that helped the hospital keep pace with the demands of its community.

CDI

The design of this industrial warehouse incorporates 4,800 square feet of office space with 27,200 square feet of manufacturing space. The site design also allows accommodations for 11,000 square feet of expansion.

Adding to the owners desire to foster efficiency & productivity, a state of the art ventilation & dust collection system and overhead bridge crane where incorporated with the facilities five loading docks and two drive-in loading bays.

After just two years CDI hit the 5 year projections and is now running 3 shifts 6 days a week and is currently planning to expand the facility with SG in the fall of 2008.

Viking Electric

Viking needed a facility that could meet the many needs of their growing business. The building’s design successfully integrated administrative office, showroom, warehouse and loading dock space. Located in an industrial area a pre-engineered “metal” building was ultimately chosen for it’s low cost and ease of construction.

Transforming a 100-year-old horseshoe factory into a modern retail complex meant working through complex environmental issues with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and city building regulations.

We took on the challenge and created a retail complex that provides cost-efficient space for the nearly two dozen tenants.

This innovative building in the heart of downtown Duluth is designed to offer high-tech businesses the absolute best in information technology. Along with several high-tech businesses including one of the country’s premier IT training schools, the Technology Village is home to several financial, retail and service professionals, including a unique Italian restaurant.

Tenants have access to a Fiber Network and a 100 Base T Network with extremely wide band width including:

M&I Bank

SourceGroup took the lead in assisting M&I with negotiating & purchasing this property as well as preparing the site by demolishing the site’s existing structure.

This design was the first of its kind for M&I and now all M&I banks have the same architectural look and feel.

Truxstor

SourceGroup acted as the owner’s agent to get local government approval to redevelop, renovate and expand the Truxstor’s current facility.

Redevelopment included working with MN Dot on new Highway 12 access as well as adjoining property owners and the City of Long Lake to maximize the property’s potential.

New finishes and structural systems were added to the existing building to meet updated zoning requirements and 9,000 sq. ft. of new structure was added so the owner could consolidate operations under one roof.

VGD Properties / La Maison VanGogh

This property in downtown Wayzata was redeveloped from a single story structure with commercial use into a three story multi-use building including first floor retail and a second & third story condominium with an elevator and large roof top garden area with views of Lake Minnetonka.

SourceGroup worked with the owner and architect to resolve numerous site issues including; contaminated soils and special structural issues to make the project financially feasible for the owner.

Valentini's Vincino Lago - Duluth, MN

SourceGroup took the lead in reconstructing this former retail building into an upscale restaurant/wine bar on the shores of Lake Superior. This 6,300 square foot facility will houses Valentini’s Vincino Lago on the main level with the dining area, gallery, & an additional scenic-view open air piazza. The high-end eatery accommodates approximately 120 guests.

The 2,800 square foot lower-level houses the prep kitchen, storage & mixed-use office space. SourceGroup worked with the owner/architect to obtain city variances and other specialty permits required from the city.
